TB is vintage overwound with a2 magnets and copper plate. Supposed to mimic telecaster bridge tone. SSL5 is overwound strat pup with a5 magnets. anybody try them both? Any input on any of them? Like which is more compressed or open tia

They put the humbucker in the middle on the Wayne Kramer strat. Usually the humbucker is used in the bridge. Would a pickup with less mids be better for the middle pos?

why do lower resistance volume pots give pickup more bass? Also, if you used a 250k pot and turn the volume down, it shouldn't it sound the same as 500k pot. Obviously, you wouldn't know exactly where its 500k. Also, splitting the coils don't sound like a true single coil cuz it still uses...

I read that the Gibson spaced pg uses a2 magnets where as the pg plus for strats use a5 magnets and has more winding/ohms. Is this true? Are the trem spaced pg the same as Fender PG+?

Is rarely discussed. Shorter scale supposed to give a thicker sound. Strats and Teles are 25.5" and Gibsons are 24.75". Gibsons sound thicker than strats/teles. Maybe the shorter scale contributes to this more than glued on neck and mahogany woods. Brian Mays (queen) guitar is 24" scale...
