I'm installing a coil tap with a push pull pot. Ordinarily, you would pull the switch up to tap a coil. Is there a way to reverse that and have pulled be humbucking, pushed down, tapped?

what is the best sounding humbucker in tapped mode? So far the JB and Demon sound terrible tapped. I've had good results with a Gibson 500T but suspect there must be warmer sounding one.

I've heard hydrochloric acid in an open can in a shoe box with the covers will work. I'm looking for that flat silver tarnished look from new nickel covers. Any other methods?
