Evan Skopp
In 1993, I was hired to run Marketing and Product Development at Seymour Duncan. Over the years, my duties expanded to including Sales, Artist Relations, Legal, and Business Development. In 2012, I formed Inside Track International and transitioned from an employee of Seymour Duncan to a commissioned sales rep handling SD’s OEM business. This arrangement afforded me the ability to handle OEM sales representation for other, compatible brands, like the ones in my signature. I also spent around 10 years playing guitar in Seymour's band. In 2015, Seymour Duncan terminated all their independent rep relationships including the one with Inside Track. So ended a good 23 year run.
I started this forum in 1996 during the dawn of the Internet, and remained Administrator until 2016, when my relationship with Seymour Duncan ended. My goal was to foster a supportive, global community in which members could discuss all brands of musical instrument gear without corporate interference or censorship.
I know that when it comes to life in general and the Internet specifically, many people pine for the “good ol’ days” when things were easier and life was better. A lot of folks talk about this forum in the same light. I would have to agree with them.
