I'm trying figure out why my Epi Lp with SD's (A2ProN, 59B) have better tone than my Gibson Standard with BBPros? Gibby sounds bigger but not better. I play blues, hard rock (not metal) and harder edge classic rock. Can the SD's make that much of a difference?

I know this is a SD forum, but does anyone have experience with the DiMarzio virtual PAF's? Which SD would you compare to them?

I just purchase a new Epi Lp Standard Plus. I'm thinking about burstbucker pro's. Does the SD line carry something similar? or better? I want that sound and a matched pair is appealing as well. Any suggestion? Convince me about SD pickups over Gibsons. Thanks up front for any input.
