Is there a pickup that captures the tones of the JB but is not as hot? The JB is a bit too hot for me

I know the Skinner Burst pickups were a limited release. Would the custom shop wind something to the specs of that set without giving it the Skinner Burst name, or something with "very similar" specs?

I have a Peavey Classic 30 head that I am selling. It is brand new. I bought but never used it, and sold the cab that I had for it. It is black tolex and has no issues. They don't make the black tolex heads anymore $400 shipped. Absolutely no trades.

The Classic plus has the alnico 2 magnet and is an hotter PAF. Is there a Duncan equivalent?

I have had some great experiences with Wolftone Pickups. I had the Marshallheads in a couple of Les Pauls for awhile and thought they sounded great. They do the overwound PAF quite nicely and use an Alnico 5 magnet. Great tones. I put a set of Dr Vintages in my Les Paul yesterday and WOW...
