Anyone know what a DiMarzio Fred is similar to in the Duncan line? Heard some tracks done with a Fred through a modeler and it seemed to mesh nicely. Nothing against DiMarzio, just been a Duncan devotee for several decades.

Any thoughts on which covers a broader range of styles, sounds?

Hi everyone, anyone have a source of Alnico 2 magnets of correct dimensions for vintage humbuckers? Stewmac and a few others seem to have Alnico 5, I was hoping to find some 2's. Anyone know what the correct gauss is for vintage level outputs with say 5000 winds on each bobbin of a humbucker?
