Who owns the LP Trad & a LP Trad Pro II - thought on '57 classic Plus vs Super '57

Who owns the LP Trad & a LP Trad Pro II - thought on '57 classic Plus vs Super '57 Hi guys and gals, I have the older Les Paul Traditional Pro (original version) which has a BB#3 in the bridge and I like that a lot. I'm just after the thoughts of anyone who owns both a regular Gibson Les...

    Some people have extreme views.

https://forum.seymourduncan.com/showthread.php?111881-I-hate-DiMarzio-pickups!!!!!! I had a DiMarzio Megadrive in my Stratenstein when I was at music college in 1996. It was like a mullet hair cut, all business in the front and party in the back, just transposed to single coil vs. this Godzilla...

Seymour Duncan Twin Tube CLASSIC - Still loving it after 9 months

I post this under amps because it really is the front end of a great tube amp. Been loving this pedal, maybe got it down to a big liking by now having owned it for about 9 months. There are tales of the valves giving up the ghost at about a year etc., I'm prepared to replace those myself, got a...

What was your first Seymour Duncan pickup or experience?

I'll start off, many moons back I started out playing the Electric Bass before buying a Strat copy a year later. I had a Watson P-bass copy, made in Canada. I had my local guitar specialists "Soundworks" in Ringwood put in what Paul said was a Seymour Duncan Hot Jazz pickup. He changed the...

Twin Tube Blue/Classic Pedal has hot footswitch

Hi, does anyone have a Twin Tube Blue or perhaps Classic? I have recently purchased a Blue so the layout is like the Classic which is why I ask about either. On mine the on/off footswitch (left switch) gets really hot to touch. Not burning your finger hot but damned hot to the touch none the...

    tried the Dragonfire AlNiCo Classics

I have a Les Paul Standard with a Seth Lover and a Custom 8 which I was liking in theory only. I had a set of Dragonfire pickups from http://www.guitarpartsonline.com/ which I'd bought a while back and not tried. So I thought lets put 'em in and if I don't like them who cares. They're 8k/16k A5...

'59 or Seth with A5 in neck Les Paul

On the product page for the '59 it mentions "Compared to the SH-55 Seth Lover, the '59 has slightly more scooped mids". I currently have a Seth Lover in the neck of a Les Paul DC Standard. It's a chambered body guitar and because it's 24 fret the neck pickup sits back up towards the bridge like...

Seth Lover neck arrived. Holy guano Batman!!

I popped her in my chambered Les Paul and was pretty much floored by the sound. Really outstanding. I still have the C8 bridge and I love how a8 matches so well with a2 in the neck. Also a couple of things, The coils are evenly wound, mine came with four conductor wiring and when you turn up...

Who knows the SH-12 wire gauge please?

I was looking on the tone chart and saw it is a 10k bridge pickup. Would that mean it could be 42awg? Thanks

    Quarter Pounder Dead :(

Had this pickup sitting on the bench after I took it out of my guitar. It was in an Epiphone Les Paul Pee Wee which had the dullest body tone ever, so I had tried this juicy single coil and it worked really well. I measured it and it's open circuit now and I don't know what happened to it. :28:

Seth Lover over A2P with cover?

Hi, considering replacing the A2P with cover in the neck of a Les Paul with a Seth Lover neck. Would they sound very similar, or are they not that similar. By comparison I've used the Gibson '57 Classics and the A2P in the same ES135 guitar. Would the '57 be a similar sounding pickup to the...

Ok I tried out the Soy Wax (with some bees)

I put some nice shiny new original Seymour Duncan gold covers on my A2P and C8. Then I potted them with a blend of about 75% soy wax and 25% bees wax. The hardened wax residue residing on the tips of my pliers has a firm and squishy consistency. It isn't brittle and it doesn't crack. I think...
