    Pots and pickups - could they be different?

    I use SH-1 and SH-4 pickups on my LP, which have a very different resistance values (7.43k for the SH-1 v. 16.4k for the SH-4). Question: would it make sense to use different volume and/or tone pots for each pickup? Like, 250K for one pickup and a 500k for the other? Which one would work best...

    P-bass pickup with switches?

    Hi gang, I got an old Yamaha bass with SD P-bass pickups that has a little switch bank with 2 dipswitches. Can anyone tell me what are these for? Thanks.
