G-D
I started with a Hawaiian Ukulele at 7
Got my first Fender Strat at 9
Played Classical in Junior High
Got obsessed with PowerRock Technique Tuning & Tone and quit school then made a mini EVH Kramer to learn Spanish fly which I gave to Ed for the MTV 'Hot for teacher' video.
My Company makes Higher 7th string guitars
slightly fanned 'multiscale', and 29 or 31 frets
that are 'shape progressive', they are made 'tuning specific' DGCFADG -having either a wound or plain center string (both being the same gauge). Features are a 10"-16" compound radius, 12-18:1 progressive ratio tuners, tuning locking finger-tabs, Kahler (with Palm Control) for Wide-Standard/vintage spacing or Floyd Rose 'tremolo' bridges, Seymour Duncan pickups, and advanced yet simple controls (like concentric and push-pull) including Tone cap switching! I've been asked if I'd put a video-game button on it for a killswitch -hmm, is that possible?
Duncan Pups I Have Experience With...
ALL from the 80's-90's
7-strings only since 2000
Latest being the TB-15 Alt-8 for 7!
The new instrument requires 3 (single-coil size) pickups to be created for it before going into production.
