True, but it does at least indicate whether the trouble is something that's tripping the fuse or something more broken. Even pulling the fuse out and testing it for continuity without replacing it is something.

Exactly why I'd at least check the fuse. Troubleshooting takes the guessing out of the situation.

Agreed. Basic troubleshooting for something that could end up being an issue with a consumable that would still be under warranty is... warranted.
