Anybody have any luck finding the right size screws for humbuckers on a local level? Hardware stores, hobby shops, etc? It's a bit of a haul to the local guitar shops so I'm hoping I can get a couple more conveniently. If so, what exactly is the right size for Duncan's? Thanks, Greg

Just finished wiring up a mongrel strat w/ two Fralin single coils (neck and RWRP middle) w/ a Duncan '59 in the bridge. No coil split on the 59. Everything sounds great except for position 2 (bridge/middle). It's very bright and nasally sounding. Is that a phase issue and if so, what can I do...

Just got an Edwards Goldtop LP w/ Duncan P-90's and it has 250k pots. The Duncan site has a diagram for standard P-90's and it shows 500k pots. Should I make the change? I keep forgetting how it works. Am I losing highs now or gaining them? BTW, it's a killer guitar!!! I'm psyched! Thanks, Greg

I just snagged a set of Dimarzio's for a strat of mine. Problem is the neck and middle are Virtual Vintage '54's and the bridge PU is Virtual Vintage Solo Pro. According to Dimarzio's website, the '54's are meant to be used w 250k pots and the Solo Pro is best off w/ a 500k pot. Any advice...

So where exactly in a wiring scheme do you use this stuff? If your pickups already have it, then is it desireable somehow to use it on other connections? Say, with a Les Paul, would you use it to connect to the toggle? I'm a little confused on why and where you would want to use this stuff...

Does it matter? I just got an Alnico Pro II and it doesn't have a cover. Just wondering if I really need one? I guess it would leave the wire exposed on the coil. Is that a problem? I mean, as long as I don't spill a beer in it? Greg

Just put an Alnico II Pro single in the neck pos of my Tele. It's got a Custom in the bridge. Anyway, I'm just wondering if the two in combo are out of phase or something. They sound great individually but when using both together, the sound gets thinner, brighter and a little honky or notched...

When you have a humbucker and single coil sharing a common pot, what value do you use? This is on a Tele FWIW. Thanks, Greg
