I had been thinking of dropping in a L'il 59 or JB Jr. into my Strat and ventured onto the SD site to see what's new. That's when I saw the info on the Pearly Gates single coil HB...hadn't seen that one before. I've Googled it but can't find it on any of the online sites. Anybody here tried one...

How similar or dissimilar are these two? I know that we start with alnico 2s in both, and both are slightly hotter winds than the straight PAF humbucker. But are there other tonal characteristics that draw them together or farther apart? This is continuation to another thread I posted recently...
