Whats the difference between a gibson studio les paul and a gibson standard les paul? (Sound, parts, hardware, pickups, etc.?)

I have a marshall 50 watt '79 jmp master volume head and i was wondering if i brought it to a tech if i could tell him to make a couple changes to make it sound more like a plexi. I mean i like the sound but i like the plexi sound more and i got this head for a lot cheaper than a plexi costs...
