Just found this soundclip page that demos the Double-D pickups in the Hamer Talladega. The bonus prize is that the guy doing the demo is Greg V... one tasty mother-plucker! Soundclips I knew Greg is a real Tele guy, so his attraction to this guitar says a lot.

Every G&L I've ever played seems to be at a standard equal to or above a Suhr or Tom Anderson, yet they go for half the price. Is this some gouging on Suhr and Anderson's part, or just that G&L is super-efficient from Leo's genius building techniques? GS

Jol Dantzig of Hamer will be in Nashville tonight at Corner music. I was thinking of driving down, anybody else going? Has anybody seen this clinic ? GS

Hamer is showing a new limited edition redwood guitar that is equipped with what they are calling Duncan "SLU" pickups. Does anybody know what these are? They're not listed on Seymour's website or literature. What do they sound like? GS
