  • Hello--I saw your post about the Silverbird pickups from earlier this year. I bought a 1982 Hamer Prototype a couple of months ago and someone had routed out a cavity for a neck pickup. That pickup happened to be a Silverbird neck pickup that I am not going to use. (My purchase of the guitar was an accident, I was waiting on a 1982 Special to arrive from Germany at the time.) Anyway, I thought I would let you know in case you happen to run across anyone who might be interested in it. I posted it on the "for sale" forum here a few weeks ago and then on Reverb when there were no takers. No reply necessary. Thank you for your time!

Since the SB is really rare, I would guess the potential takers too. Bump your post in TP regularly! I did it for you.

Armin, I been trying to contact you, your PM box is full! I need your creme Super D!!! Hit me a PM man!
Hey Armin! Make some space in your PM box! I need another Super D in cream, you want a Distortion neck model?
That one is an '80 - a late '80, it has the checkerboard logo. They are great guitars. I like the amber knobs much better. I had pretty much sworn off humbucker guitars until I bought this one. I have never heard a guitar cut through a band mix like this one.

The zebra is actually supposed to go in the neck, like yours. I've tried this particular one both ways and it just sounds better with the zebra in the bridge. Mine actually spec out pretty closely DC-resistance wise: zebra 8.37k, creme 8.44k, but the zebra is a bit darker sounding; the creme is a bit brighter sounding. Loaded as intended, the neck is a bit muddy and the bridge a bit too ice-picky. Put in swapped, these two sound much better.

Great to hear from you. Have you other Hamers? Are you on the Hamer Fan Club forum? www.hamerfanclub.com/forums Great bunch of fellow Hamer fans there with loads of discussion and photos!
hey dude, i'm not too computer literate, so i dont know if this is the best way to get ahold of u, or the contact info. I'll try this first. is that hybreed a TB 59/custom then? I picked up a couple 59's from gtrheaven.com. they are going out of business (heard that from gmacdonnell? i think it is on the forum). they are regular spaced tho. I dont know about you, but i had a reg spaced pu in something with a trem, and then i tried the TB version of the same pickup, and i thought it sounded alot better---you could hear the E strings alot better.
Anyway (sorry), how much u want for ur Pup? (It is a TB 59/custom right?)

And i've seen you on here. I guess u like hamer's then. not that i want to sell these, but i've got 2. '78 or 9 special (sunburst), and i got one from a friend of mine. He said it was 73 (like the first yr they were made), but the serial number is long gone (well on both of them). okay i'll shut up now. let me know
