So I really, really like the PRS Tremonti Treble. I like how it's high output yet clear, bright, and tight. It's got a very aggressive high midrange that I feel cuts through with riffs and ESPECIALLY palm mutes. But I'm curious if there's anything that's remotely close to it in a 7-string...

Has anyone tried the SH-6N in the neck along with a middle pickup and an SH-5 Custom? I have a Custom 7 on the way for my 7-string Ibanez. I'm thinking about ditching all the stock pickups in favor for the SSL5-7 in the middle and a Distortion Neck 7 in the neck. Would the SH-6N overpower...

Selling a PRS Tremonti Treble bridge pickup. Wanted a lower-output sound with the guitar it was in, so this has gotta go. It's a very high output pickup with a LOT of treble and mids, and a tight, punchy low end. Best way I can describe it is if someone made a Duncan JB and turned it up to 11...

So, I got a new 7-string. I'm debating on these two pickups. I'm a huge fan of the Distortion in the bridge, but I like experimenting. I was considering the EMTY because the description sounds a lot like the Distortion, but I'd like more opinions. How do these two compare?
