sorry if this is a bit of a stupid question, but i just got a jb installed in the bridge of my guitar yesterday and noticed it didnt have any black tape around the bobbins like the sh-5 it was replacing. i was just wondering if this is like this on all jb's, and if not would it affect the sound...

Hi What pickups would be suitable for the bridge and neck for playing metal/hardcore while still having a nice clean tone? I was thinking maybe a custom or jb to go in the bridge but dont know what pickup would be suitable to complement them in the neck. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
