Trying to find a good hearty sound for my P.

Just bought an old-school fretless p...she's been treating me right. The only thing is the original pickups are little tame for my Warwick Thumb ears. I am looking for suggestions, advice, and any words of wisdom that anyone has on the matter. Peace
