Hi, I'm wanting to try a Gibson 498t in place of the 59 I have currently installed. Both PUs are 4 wire (Black, White, Red and Green). Do the two pickups share the same color schematics? Can I simply un solder the 59 and re solder the Gibson wires in the same places? Thanks!!!!

I'm making my first guitar and need advice on bridge pickup. 1) Chambered alder tele body with flamed maple top. 2) Warmoth maple tele neck. 3) Entire guitar is tuned down a whole step. D,G,C,F,A,D 4) Play Social D / Motorhead type rock, marshall gain but not over the top distortion THANKS ! ! ! !
