not sure if this this should go to the amp section or stay here but... just curious about if a player has a tight sounding pickup, is it good to mix it with a tight sounding amp? And vice versa? Or is it better to mix it up? As in having a tight pickup with a loose'r amp and loose pickup...

How much does the stated EQ of a pickup matter? Does it matter if you have a mid heavy pickup with midrange-y amp or should you put a mid-scooped pup with a midrange-y amp? :) :thanks:
