I have a 77 tele. Duncan antiquity in bridge and just added vintage stack to neck. In middle position, it sounds almost microphonic- like am radio speakers. I followed the wiring from SD site. I did find it odd that old pickup only had two wires- black and white- whereas stk had 4 plus ground...

I have a 77 Tele w/rosewood neck. Due to fire damage (was saved from pawnshop fire in Texas 20 years ago) had to replace pickups. Antiquity for bridge- mexican stock for neck (it was free). Neck pickup is muddy. Was thinking about Vintage Stack for neck. Will that be too odd of a matchup...
