Has anyone tried the LW-HMET Live wires Metal pup? What's it like in comparison to say an EMG 81?

Are they very similar? I know dime used the L500 for a while before switching to the Invader and then now his own Dimebucker. The Dimebucker looks almost Identical to the L500 and Im wondering if it sounds the same.
