So how does an HSS Strat come wired? What is position two wired as? Is it full humbucker and single or is the humbucker tapped (the slug, no?) along with the single coil? I want to know what's standard procedure here.

Okay... ordered a duncan jazz pup used, didn't come with screws. Squier mounting screws are too fat (440 measurement). AND...the hardware store guy DROPPED one of them into the crack in the floor. SO... where can I order three (3) mounting screws for humbuckers!?!?!? LMFAO that this is so hard!!

Just replaced the old GTEL34s with JJKT77s in my JCM900 4100 model. So...awesome. A little less driving punch but it's compensated with a more chimey, articulate tone. There's also a ton more head room on the clean channel, making it a lot more useful. I'm pretty happy.
