Currently I have been improving quite a bit on guitar, and thought that "Hey, my tone is reallly dull". I want a setup for PUPs that can play anything from blues to jazz to punk to hard rock. Currently I was looking at a '59 at the neck and an SH-5 at the bridge, what do you guys think?

Any color, used or new, just not to beat up, any pups, or additions are welcome.

I am currently looking into a Strat with a non Maple fretboard, and I have found one in my area. http://duluth.craigslist.org/msg/688744301.html The only thing is, it appears as they don't make any new "MIM" Strats. What exactly does MIM mean, and what happened to them?
