I have a LP Studio with chambered body and it has the stock Gibson Classic 57/57+ combo in it. I love the playability and light-weight of this guitar but the pickups make me go "meh" instead of "yeah." For comparison, I have a 2001 PRS Singlecut and I put Pearly Gates PUPs in that bad boy... it...
So I'm in the process of converting my Deluxe Roadhouse Strat into an HSS with a Red Devil in the bridge and some Custom Shop Texas Specials that I have had unused here in a drawer for 15 years or more. I will be taking out the active mid-boost circuit and replacing with all 250k CTS pots and...

I'd really only be interested in it for "silent" recording with my tube amps.
So i bought a Pearly Gates set to replace the #7's in my PRS Singlecut (pre-lawsuit). I really like the bridge pickup... a LOT.
But for my tastes the neck is a just a bit "too much" if you catch my meaning.
I am thinking '59, Alnico II or Seth Lover will be more my style for that spot. I am...
