Thanks for the responses! I'm no shredder and rhe neck is alien to me as well. My other guitars are a les paul and a strat. However it's not as thin as some other ibanez necks for example the rg 550.

For me for high gain tones (80s style) I would consider this amp unusable without the app. Even aside from that, the depth of control via the app is not even close to what you get on the amp's interface. eg for setting specific OD pedals, chorus and delay parameters, what the footswitch does etc etc

Definitely it would be better to have more access on the amp itself but that's probably a choice they made for lowering the cost. Frankly this amp does so much at this price point that I can't complain.

Even if it's faster to do it on the phone, I think it's better to store and backup your settings on PC. I might get the BT at some point for faster tone experiments.

That's impressive but it looks heavy! Also what about ventilation?

It is possible to add Bluetooth with an accessory but I don't have it. Using usb and PC as well. On board controls are very limited compared to the app.
