I tried a set of JJ KT77's in my Marshall, and I'm sold! I like them better than the EL34, or EL34L. More bottom, nice mids and a bit of chime on the top end. A bit less aggressive than the EL34L series, but a bit more aggressive than a regular EL34. Anyone else tried them?

Lots of folks complain about the highs on the JB pickup. Am I wrong in assuming it was designed for Jeff Beck? I have 2 Hamers, one has the Phat Cat set in it and I love the sound of it. What I want to do is set the other one up with humbuckers, in the event we are in a place that has a lot of hum. I'd like the tone of the humbuckers to be similar ( in the neighborhood) to the Phats. Any suggestions?
