    Replacing a HB on an HSS start

    I dunno if this is a really silly questions...but is replacing a bridge humbucker on a HSS strat body by a single coil possible? I imagine the picguard would need to be changed but the pickup cavity for the humbucker looks like it could probably fit the angled single coil. Am I wrong?

    Solder at the pot or solder wires

    Hi Im reading up on how to change guitar PUs and it seems everything I've read suggest that when changing pickup one is better to unsolder from the pot and solder the new PU wire back onto the pot. Is there anything wrong with just hooking and soldering the shortned new PU wire to the already...
