    Project sneak peak

Re: Project sneak peak Here's some more pics of what Ive been up to. I started out by trimming back the lower cutaway and adding a rear scallop but then I decided this afternoon that I was going to angle the neck heel area like an RG or Gunslinger and I also relieved the area as well. I'm...

    Leather dye on satin poly

Re: Leather dye on satin poly I just successfully covered my headstock with Minwax wood stain and spray can laquer clearcoat much to my surprise. Before: After: Here is the back of the neck with some wood stain to make it look all nasty. It was sanded out to 2,000 grit so it's smooth...

    DIY Scallop

Re: DIY Scallop I do have better pics of the necks that Ive done over the years but some are not loading for some reason, but here are some that I found... All done with a Dremel and hand sanding... First is a Warlock neck, which I have more pics of but this is the only one that loaded...

    *****in New Guitar Day!!!!

Re: *****in New Guitar Day!!!! The luthiers from Caparison were workers in the Jackson Japan factory and once FMIC bought Jackson in 2001 they did their own thing. In fact one of their early works as a group was the Jackson Falcon which the Caparison Horus model of theirs shares many many...

Where can I purchase chrome hex screws?

I have an idea for a hybrid and I'm wondering where I can find chrome hex like they're using exclusively on the new Charvel DK24's. There was a white Full Shred for sale but it was a TB-10 and that was prior to my idea I just came up with otherwise I would have bought that and swapped in black...

59N and TB-4 slugs, baseplates, magnets, spacers, etc.

Re: 59N and TB-4 slugs, baseplates, magnets, spacers, etc. Here is a 90's/early 2000's LiveWire Metal bridge. ***Uses 100k pots and 18V only*** Been sitting around gathering dust but it'll clean up nicely and it works perfect, I tried it out in a few guitars last summer while swapping...

    Project sneak peak

Re: Project sneak peak Haha yea I think I would have been better off throwing it in a pond for a few months and then hooking a chain to it and dragging it to the store...haha Here's the last of my work for the day... I took all the black finish off of the Floyd and the trem bar. Still...

    Project sneak peak

Re: Project sneak peak Got the waterslide on and I'm calling it a day. I might try to get a flash coat and a semi-light coat of clear over the decal once it dries a few hours.

59N and TB-4 slugs, baseplates, magnets, spacers, etc.

This is all leftovers from the double screw 59N/TB4 I made for the Imperial and I'll likely not have a need for any of this stuff so have at it... The one TB4 slug has some hairline cracks in it which is fairly common. It was stock in my 2005 USA Soloist... As you can see they're complete...

    Project sneak peak

Re: Project sneak peak I almost forgot I made this thread... Anyways, I've been slowly getting some stuff done to it and it's coming along really good so far. I still have a lot more relic'ing to do and I have to blend it in a little better so it doesn't look too contrived although it will to...
