    Big strings for a jackson soloist = Safe?

    Hi, I recently try a custom set of string of Ernie Ball. It was 10-13-17-30-42-54. I really like the sound of these string on my SL2HT but I was wondering if that set was not too much tension for the neck. I play in standard tuning. I'm able to setup properly my guitar, but that much tension is...

    Children of Bodom Hatebreeder Rhythm Sound!

    I really dig into Children of Bodom Hatebreeder album Rhythm Sound (I think its Alexander Kuoppala guitars sound). I want something that can replicate that kind of sound. I have a Jackson soloist with emg 81, thru a peavey 6505 and a mesa rectifier cab (v30). Do you have a idea about setting...

    Anyone try a '59 Bridge in a Jackson Soloist

    I have a Jackson Soloist SL2HT and I really like the sound of the neck pickup for solo, lead and rythm much better than the JB in the bridge so I think I will replace it for a 59 Bridge. I saw on duncan website that they work better with mahogany body and my jackson has maple neck thru. Does it fit?

    What pickups the guitarists of Dimmu Borgir use?

    Does anybody know what pickups the guys from dimmu borgir use on the last album (In Sorte Diaboli). I'm pretty sure Galder still use EMG and I read on the duncan site that Silenoz use the Livewire Metal, but I think Silenoz is now using Seymour Duncan Blackout (I'm pretty sure I read this on the...

    Blackout Neck vs Livewire Metal ?

    Hi, I run an old BC Rich Mockingbird (koa wings, maple neckthru, ebony fretboard) into a Maxon OD808 pedal right in front a Peavey 5150 with Mesa Rectifier Cab. The Mockingbird have 2 Seymour duncan livewire metal in it. For now, I had to put the volume pot at average position to have a decent...

    Tube Screamer -> Peavey 5150 lead = ???

    Hi! I'm considering to buy a ibanez tube screamer reissue (ts808) to gave me a precise chunky kind of tone on my 5150 lead channel (not to use as a boost cause my pickups give me enough output for now). It seem to be the setup of Michael Amott (before the Doomsday Machine album). What type of...

At a time, I change my pickup to try the emg 81 but I reinstall my livewire after 2 days (lol). When I change my pickup to EMG, I put 25k...
