I was playing a SG with P-90s at guitar center, and I loved the tone. (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Gibson-SG-Classic-Electric-Guitar-with-P-90-Pickups-101393338-i1149174.gc). I was wondering if there was some fat sounding P-90s that could get the same tone out of a maple neck, alder body strat.

I was just wondering because my friend has a nitro finish guitar he wants to spray over with white (right now its 3 tone sunburst). Is there any spray-on finish I can buy to spray over, or would I have to sand the guitar first? Also, if they do have the spray-on stuff, where could I get it?
