Does anyone have any experience with installing a strat neck pup in the neck of a american tele? My american tele is about 5 years old and I do not want to hack it up and do any additional routing.

Newbie here. I am looking to replace a stock neck pup in an american tele. I have a hot rails in the bridge and want a higher output neck pup to match. Any suggestions? The QP neck and rhythm hot are possibilies. Also are modifications needed to install a strat pup in the neck?
