I'm sure this has been asked before, and I've searched the web without finding the answer I'm looking for, someone please help me out. I'm going to mod my Fender American Special HSS, does the middle or neck pup need to be RW/RP? Or, does the HB negate the need? Thanks in advance.

Looking to replace the pickup on my Esquire (reissue) and I'm not sure what would be the most comparable to the original pickup that would have come on a '50s model... I'm considering the STK-T3b Vintage Stack, for the low end sound, but, open to suggestions.
