Hey, I have a Peavey 212 Vt Classic. This amp has no distortion/ overdrive. I wanna have good distortion i.e. motorhead, AC/DC, Metallica, cream. I also need a wah pedal. I dont really need anything expensive, but i want good quality gear. What do I get?

So, I installed the pickups, put in a new output jack, and all i get is a buzz. A loud buzz which varies in volume when I adjust the volume controll. What did I do, and how do I fix it?

I just bought a peavey classic VT 212. I still havent spent a lot of time playing on it, but im thinking that I need some pedals. I could either get two tube screamers and a super distortion (which i can get 40$ each) or i could get a jekyll & hyde ultimate overdrive and a snarling dogs black...

I recently installed new pickups on my guitar, then I plugged it in... nothing. If i wiggle the cord around in the output jack I can produce a crackleing noise, but no real sound. I am sure that the jack is wired securely, but the real question is: is that my problem? any advice appreciated
