    Question About Pod Farm Plug-in

I was just curious, if I purchase the Pod Farm 2 plug-in to use with my DAW, is it possible to use the plug-in without going through my Toneport? The reason I ask is that I'm thinking of purchasing a USB microphone, but I still want to use the Pod Farm effects with it. Thanks!

    New Acoustic Day!!

My old acoustic just wasn't cutting it tonally, so I figured it was time for something new. It's a Yamaha FG740 SFM. Flame maple back and sides, Nato neck, solid spruce top and rosewood fretboard. The pictures definitely don't do justice to the flame!

    NGD!!! Epi Les Paul!

Hey guys, I know I don't post too often anymore, school and work have kept me pretty busy. I figured I'd share my new guitar purchase anyways. Long story short, my gf broke up with me, and I had some extra money, so I decided to buy a guitar. I got an Epi Les Paul Standard, black in colour. My...

Super 5-Way Switch and Tapped Tele

So I was thinking of getting a super 5-way switch for my Tele to wire it for coil splits, my bridge pickup is a tapped quarter pound. If I use this diagram and use the tap wire where the red and white humbucker wires go to, will that tap the pickup in the second position, or will it not work?

    Strange Switch Problem

So today I decided I was going to rewire my Gretsch, I took out the tone pot and put a switch to split the bridge pickup. The only problem is now my switch isn't working. I know the pot and pickups are fine because they work when I connect the pickups straight to the jack, or straight to the...

    Strat Pickups in Mahogany?

So pretty soon I want to replace the pickups in my Gretsch BST-1000, and I was thinking of maybe going with Strat pickups. The guitar is a mahogany body with a 24 fret, 24.75 inch maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, and has a top loading hardtail bridge. I was thinking of putting an SSL-6 in...

    Wondering if this is possible

so I'm looking to make my Gretsch BST a one pickup guitar, and add some esquire flare to it. I was gonna wire it with the GFS Dream 90 in the bridge, 1 vol, 1 tone, and a switch to bypass the tone control in order to add some brightness. I have two switches, a DPDT on/on mini switch, and I have...

What Colour for my Gretsch BST?

So for my birthday my parents are gonna buy me the supplies to refinish my Gretsch BST, so I gotta decide what colour. Here's what it looks like now: I was thinking one of these colours for it: Dakota Red Black Inca Silver The headstock right now is clear-coated wood, but will be getting...

Jangly/Vintagey pickup for my Gretsch BST

So some time this year I'm going to be refinishing my Gretsch BST, replacing the pickguard, and replacing the pickups. I'm thinking of doing a single pickup in the bridge, one volume, one tone. Now, considering it's a Gretsch, I figured it needs a jangly sort of Filtertron or DeArmond like...

    Quarter Pound Rocks!!!

This morning I got my Tapped Quarter Pound for Tele in the mail, and happy replaced the GFS Li'l Puncher in my Tele. Man this pickup rocks out! Very chunky, meaty sound, this pickup was well named, cause the first thing the tone made me think of was a big juicy hamburger. I'm kinda disappointed...

    Ordered my first Duncan pickup!!!

I figured it's about time. I ordered a tapped quarter pound bridge for my Tele, it's gonna be awesome!

    Gas!!!

http://store.guitarfetish.com/xvsoashmafig.html These new offset Xavieres look sweet! A cross between a Tele and a jazzmaster is a cool idea, and it has a tele pickup in the bridge and a minihum in the neck, awesome!

    my sounds really changing lately...

and I like how it's changing. When I first started playing I was all about high output humbuckers and heavy gain. Lately I've been digging a lower gain, crunchy sound. I've been using the GFS Li'l puncher in my tele split more than full on lately...I prefer the full humbucker for leads, but for...
