Just removed the back cover from my Angry Charlie pedal. There is no place to put a battery. Never seen this before. Why did the company do that?

The treble strings sound sensational. Love the sound there. But when I get to the Low E and A strings, the sound gets flabby and woofy. Similar to a Les Paul neck pickup that is too fat in the bass. I think I'm going to remove it and try an SSL-1.

I tune down a half-step on my Strat and awhile back I switched from .010's to 9.5's. I'm thinking of going one more and trying a .009 set. Do you think that is pushing it too far light with a half-step flat tuning? Seems to me Ace Frehley used .009's tuned a half-step flat.
