Pedertone

I started playing bass in 1987. I grew up listening to and playing Rush, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, King Crimson. I listened to a lot of metal and grunge in the 90's. Some recent discoveries include Karnivool, Pinback, Porcupine Tree, Trans Am, Mono, The Dear Hunter. I have played a little jazz but never considered myself a jazz player. I have a few ongoing projects. Protosonic - instrumental, progressive rock, Leaded - instrumental, lounge jazz funk rock, and N.L.P. - psychedelic, progressive rock. I played in a pop rock band called Spiv for a bit and I played Chapman Stick in a band called Bushtic (aka. Miner) as well. I am currently shifting my attention toward woodworking and I just completed my first guitar. I'll build my first acoustic bass this fall and my first electric next spring as part of the Lutherie program at Red Rocks Community College.

Duncan Pups I Have Experience With...
I have modified my Rickenbacker with the SD SRB-1/SRB-1B humbucker ric pickups which sound great and give me a little more output. I lost a little of my harmonics with the humbucking but overall they're great! I put a set of Full Shred guitar pickups in the guitar I just built and they sound great too.
