I much prefer the JB with an A4, and the 59 with an A3 to the stock set. I'm not a big fan of the 59 from my experience with it though so while it's a big improvement it's not my ideal neck pickup.

Yeah I have one in my Hamer Mirage. It's not a million miles away from the JB and maybe closer still to the JB2, but I seem to like something about the A4's frequency response, so for me it's an improvement. What I hear is a more balanced mid range that seems to be smoother over a wider range...

Why don't you ring and ask them directly?

Are you absolutely sure they are period correct? I'd be dubious that screws that are putting all the saddles out of whack are actually original...and even if they were wouldn't you be better off replacing them with functional screws and store them in case you ever wanted to sell it etc.

The screw that Jeremy mentioned looks to push all six saddles out of alignment. It should be completely flush.
