I've done a fair amount of magnet swapping in humbuckers but never in a P90. The original pickup in my old Greco DCJr was a bit too weak and thin sounding and as I also hate P90 hum I replaced it with a Fralin hum cancelling P90. The Fralin IS dead quiet but the sound is a bit boring...
