D'Angelico has recently added a SD JB to the bridge of some of the DC and SS models. So that's a 59 in the neck with a JB in the bridge. Again, these are made specifically for D'Angelico.
I wonder if the JB made for D'Angelico will likewise be hotter than the one Seymour Duncan normally makes?
Oh brilliant...thank you for this information
Wow...D'Angelico was not fooling around when they sat down with Seymour Duncan for the specs on their 59s
Thank you for the link. It would appear the SD 59s made for D'Angelico are a little hotter.
The most useful information I got from the link you shared:
'
'8.78 and 8.92 put in neck/bridge positions respectively though they aren't labelled for a position
They sound like 59's, just a bit more...
So the D'Angelico SD 59s are a little hotter than the regular SD 59s?
This is important to me as I have well over a dozen D'Angelico's with SD59s in them
I've never purchased the Seymour Duncan 59s from SD. Though I've purchased a lot from them, including:
Seth Lovers, Pearly Gates, Invaders, etc
Hello,
I’m writing to ask whether you could provide the technical specifications for the Seymour Duncan DA-59 humbuckers used in D’Angelico guitars. I’m specifically interested in understanding how the DA-59 differs from the standard Seymour Duncan ’59 (SH-1).
If possible, could you share...
