I noticed the JB in my Charvel has more hum (a lot more) at idle then the Distortion in my both my Les Paul and other Charvel. The JB pickup is wired correctly and properly grounded but I have an alnico 2 magnet in it. Is this something others have noticed or is it just the JB I have?

Well, last night I was tinkering and I wanted more gain/distortion in my R7 Gold Top Les Paul. So I pulled out my 80's zebra Distortion and my 80's zebra JB and loaded it up (both made by MJ :cool3: ). I put the JB in the neck and the Distortion in the bridge. Woo hoo...this guitar is hot...
