  • thats too cool. I want to learn cliffs of dover this year.
the hybrid picking lick in the intro is something i practice when i think of it.
oh yeah - how could I not mention Eric Johnson...especially since at our worship rehearsals every time we take a break I'm almost always launching into Cliffs Of Dover...lol...
BTW John petrucci is one of my faves as well!!. What i have heard of Lincoln brewsters lead playing I like.Eric Johnson is likely may fave. I am also into greg howe. I wouldlike to dochristian jazz fusion for people who don't know the Lord or find all the intracacies of most jazz fusion listenable.

I also desire for my motives to be right in my playing music.
lol....I was just referring to leading worship...although I often call myself, "an 80's metalhead leftover", and have always considered myself a lead guitarist, I am now also very influenced by Lincoln Brewster, Paul Baloche and his lead guitarist Ben Gowell, and other worship artists. Don't get me wrong - I will always love *guitar* - John Petrucci from DT is, IMHO, the best I've ever seen, because he's VERY gifted as a guitarist, yet he's also very musical with it. But for me personally, if I can't do guitar for Jesus I just plain wouldn't do it anymore. :)

    Thanks for asking. :)
