I have not had a guitar with mini-humbuckers before. I got it used and it went straight to the tech to set up. What are your experiences with mini-buckers? Is the tone the same? Similar? Different?

Does anyone have one? No wood whatsoever! It is made of graphite. It has very cool tone... clean, almost bell-like. They are virtually indestructible and will not go out of tune... ever. It has been a while since I played one. I will be in the area next week to see a dealer. Thoughts?

I have an ES-137 and find the stock P-90's way too noisy. I have been told that the SD P-90 Stack will retain the P-90 tone (mostly). I see that the Stack P-90 is 4 conductor, so I am looking for wiring options. Suggestions?

A question for all the tone research scientists... All other things being equal... If the same pickups and electronics were installed on both guitars, what would be the tonal differences? Experience? Theories? I do not have duplicate electronics to be able to Frankenstein an actual A/B...
