    Carl Martin Quattro Left/Right Outputs

I've been checking out the Carl Martin Quattro multi-effect. I've been trying to figure out what the Left/Right output on the Quattro is about. I've heard it described as not being stereo, but I couldn't find any additional information in my Internet searches. The manual was no help. Is it a...

Lets see those pedal boards you are using right now.

This is my latest board reimagining. The tiny Donner Alpha Cruncher makes up for the freakishly large Danelectro Spring King. The JDX Direct Drive replaces the use of an amp.

Lets see those pedal boards you are using right now.

Here's the latest iteration. It's updated to run stereo balanced outputs to the board. A JDX Direct-Drive replaces using a traditional amplifier. It also provides a way to tap off the signal before it goes off to the modulation effects.

Here's mine. I'm such an effects squirrel, it's just a bunch of velcro stuck to a board that I found around the house:

    Spring King Reverb

A new gadget came in yesterday. I picked up one of the Danelectro Spring King reverb units:

    805 and Forza Overdrive Pedals

I've been following the Ibanez Tubescreamer decedents and eventually found the Seymour Duncan 805 and Forza. I have a Boss SD-1, and MXR GT-OD already. I was curious what others think of the 805 and Forza? They seem to have pretty good reviews elsewhere.

    Bass pedals

Re: Bass pedals My Bass DI came in today: That's about it for my bass pedals. There is a chorus downstream in the board effects loop. It's a Rockman Stereo Chorus/Delay.

How many pedals are on your board?

Re: How many pedals are on your board? This is the current configuration. Not so much a pedal board as a pedal pile so far. No amp. It goes straight to the board via a DI for a level boost.

Going Amp-less in 2020? What are the options?

Re: Going Amp-less in 2020? What are the options? You might want to check out the Palmer Pocket Amp MK 2. It provides an amp/cabinet simulation with switchable microphone placement. There are "Vintage", "Brit", and "US" amps which I take to be Fender, Marshall, and Mesa amps. It has clean...

    Analog Amp Simulator DI Units

I spent some time researching analog amp simulators for guitar. The process was kind of time consuming, partially because stores like Sweetwater and Musicians Friend don't seem to be organized to make finding them easy. They seem more oriented toward traditional guitar amps. It took a few rounds...

Which Guitar Rig would you prefer? (rack vs pedalboard)

Re: Which Guitar Rig would you prefer? (rack vs pedalboard) Here's another attempt at going small. I picked up a little Donner Alpha Cruncher: I'll probably wind up with a Carl Martin Quattro because it adds the compressor, but the Donner Alpha Cruncher goes a long way for few dollars.

Which Guitar Rig would you prefer? (rack vs pedalboard)

Re: Which Guitar Rig would you prefer? (rack vs pedalboard) There's actually more to it than that. It’s actually two rigs. The Palmer pedal rig is used with my Peavey Riptide, a Telecaster like guitar. I’m now using an Epiphone Les Paul with the Rockman rack components. The levels and EQ of...

Which Guitar Rig would you prefer? (rack vs pedalboard)

Re: Which Guitar Rig would you prefer? (rack vs pedalboard) Here's my current "all pedals" rig: The Palmer Pocket Amp acts as the amp simulator. No amplifier, just DI.

    Dunlop Rockman Unboxing and Demonstration

There aren't nearly as many gadgets for bass players as guitar players. That includes headphone amps unfortunately. Check out Taylor Rhodes unboxing and demonstration of the Dunlop Rockman Bass Ace:
