I heard that you need to 'reverse the wires' when installing this pickup -what does that mean exactly? ?

This is what the guitar used too look like before i put the JB in, it was gorgeous IMO but I have too have a JB it's always been my favorite PU! The guitar is a 10 year old Chinese Squier Classic Vibe 60's and it is by far the best guitar I've ever owned even better than the many USA guitars...

Well these cheap generic white knobs from Amazon arrived today and though they are slightly better, they are too white!

So I installed a parchment JB Jr in my Strat, I already had replacement pickup covers in a drawer that matched the JB good enough (see pic). So now I need to order a set of knobs and switch tip that match. does anybody know what color I need to order from Fender??

Ok so when I test here (see pic) I get zero but when I pull up the tone pot I get 11 -does this help?

I bought a 76 Les Paul locally yesterday and the guy asked me if I wanted the old pickups that were in the guitar when he bought it. I said sure and he handed me a little box and I went home. I opened the box and the 1st pup was an EMG 'select' and the second one was this (see pic) Holy Grail...

Re: Help me ID these SD pickups Ok took control cover off and yes both pickups have black/white cloth pushback wire. I took a photo, maybe someone can tell if the wiring looks correct?

Ok so I know the trembucker is a JB because I installed it myself last week. IDK what the other 2 are. If I give you the DC resistance would that help identify the model? I don't want to take them out cause they are Huge PITA to reinstall, they have 2 springs each not foam rubber pads.

Hey all I've got this really, really nice Jackson guitar and I wanted to know if I could do anything about the wear and tear on the finish from years of playing? Guitar has no missing paint/chips just lots of fine scratches.

So I am not thrilled with the sound of the JB trembucker in my Jackson Soloist and have ordered a Distortion to replace it with, it will be here Friday. The Distortion has always been my go to pup for awhile now so I am pretty sure I will like it. My question is do I need to mess with the pots...
