From what I have been reading some of the older guitars (1940's-1950's) used the same exact (as exact as possible) pickups in the bridge and neck position.
If so, when did the reverse wound pickups start getting popular?
Just picked this one up and trying it out before a pickup change. I have a SH5 for the bridge and a SH2 for the neck (gold covers) I am wanting to get put in...waiting for some gold colored mounting rings.

Want to replace the two P90's in a Mosrite copy with a Duncan Custom SH5 in the bridge and a Phat Cat SPH90-1 in the neck.
The wiring diagrams for a 2 P90 setup with 1 volume and 1 tone show one way for the 4 wire connector SH5(to the switch) and a different way for the SPH90-1 single connector...
I bought a Memphis made strat copy bought in 1985, and the owner has a Dimarzio Virtual 2 DP407 in the bridge.
What SD would be a little hotter but still have the vintage sound to replace this pickup.
It has 250K pots and looks like the mid and neck pickups are stock.
