    Headphone amps

Im going to college soon, and I need a decent headphone amp for my dorm. I figured I'd ask you folks what kind of great kinds are out there, since when referring to headphone amps I am lost. It needs to be on a decent budget, maybe around 500 or so. Can somebody point me in the right direction...

    Foo Fighters Cover

http://soundcloud.com/samuschief/monkey-wrench I've been working on this for 3 days, getting the production right. I re-recorded the guitars some 5 times before I got this version. Enjoy!

    Production tips

I'm currently helping my brother's band produce a small EP which they will self release. They play the Metalcore br00tz stuff, and I've never tried to EQ or mix that before. The drums have already been programmed, they sound great. Vocals are to be mixed to the taste of the singer. What I need...

My first complete song - Redemption

I've written little rifferies here and there, but none were completed. This song, called Redemption, is hopefully a taste of what's to come. It comes incomplete, lacking lyrics at this point in time. Musically, I'm very proud of myself. Redemption

    Some stuff

I made a soundcloud account and uploaded my recordings. Two are covers, the other four are original riffs and stuff. http://soundcloud.com/samuschief Tell me what you think!

Cover Song day - Foo Fighters

I did a cover of Everlong. The drums and bass came from here. The guitars and vocals were recorded by me using Audacity and a cheapie Rock Band mic. I don't know a whole lot about recording amps, so forgive quality issues. Mistakes in the vocals can probably be blamed on myself. ig7Zqhn2lVM

Anybody ever use a Peavey 3120?

Just asking around. Been checking it out. Basically, its a XXX with a facelift, right? What do you guys think? Love/Hate?

    Correcting a previous mistake

When I installed my pickups way back, I cut the wire on my neck pickup too short so I skipped wiring into the coil tap. But now I want that coil tap back. Problem is, the wire on the neck is too short and If I just tap the bridge it wouldn't accomplish what I want. I'm going to rewire my guitar...

    Tube Problem?

My amp crackles. All the time. It's not the guitar itself, as my guitar uses humbuckers and the crackling and the guitar's noise are separate: Playing does not make the crackling stop, and vice versa. This happens on both clean and distortion, and the volume of the crackling is just as loud...

    Refinishing a guitar

If I were to refinish my guitar, what would the process be? My guitar is satin-finished, but it's natural under the satin. Here's a pic, if it helps

Getting a string caught under the fingernail

OW! I've had this happen a few times, and I don't think my left ring or middle fingernails will ever grow correctly again. It debilitates me from guitar for days... really sucks. Even stings to type.

    Guitar Amp for bass

I have a buddy coming over tomorrow who plays bass. He has a bass but left his amp with his band, so he has no amp. I have two amps, and one never gets any use. It's my Bandit 112. 80 Watts. Its a Peavey, so it has more low end than other guitar amps do. Is it possible to run a bass into it...
