Duncan Pups I Have Experience With...
I have the 59, JB, TB whatever, and have probably had every one he ever made in the building at one time or another. Before I made my own winder, and got a $5000 LCR, and $12,000 audio analyzer Duncan rewound everything from 1930s National, and Christian pick ups to old Fener Pre CBS stuff for us. My aunt owed ***** Music from 74-99, her late husband from 1946-74. Mom taught guitar, played guitar and bass, and we all sold guitars as well as repaired them. Uncle Klesi did the horn repair, and some easy luthrie stuff. Making a beat to hell horn look new still amazes me, but school band is dead, and pro horn players rare. We sold Duncan for a while. Then the synth craze hit, then midi and the shop went nutzoid into synths kbds/MIDI. Guitars were not priority anymore. The shop lost money too! When my uncle was alive he and Johnny Smith were very good friends. Since Smith had the Gibson dealership, and Kleese had Selmer he always had a D'Angelico made Selmer in stock! and a plethora of use
