The SDUGF Official Pics of Your Board Thread

Is there anything sexier than a naked board? I am starting a board for bass.

Good Looper vs Recording for simple task

I get it but with GuitarPro if I stumble on something I like I can, build on it, add other instruments if I like or export it to my DAW as a midi file .Also I am hearing it through my refrence monitors not my amp.

    NAD that ended in tragedy

Back in the 80s I got great tone out of my Fender with a Radio Shack fuse wrapped in Marlboro cigarette pack tinfoil. Was supossed to be a quick fix but stayed in there for 20 years.

Good Looper vs Recording for simple task

I like GuitarPro because I can easily change tempo, key and play with the chord voicings.

Like the tone, not the feel

This is the exact issue that motivated me to put Babicz bridges on all of my Fenders.

I want to support the local Super-Indie guit-shop in my town, but

My local shop will typically have parts because they also do repairs. But most of the time, I simply hit Amazon, parts get here in 2 days, and it is usually cheaper.

    New Custom 7 String Day

Beautiful guitar. IMO it was easy to adjust to the 7-string. My biggest challenge is string skipping on songs I have previously committed to memory on the 6-string. But the transition was so seamless, I have started looking at an 8-strig.

    Jupiter Rails are B(L)ack!

Are they poweder coated? I would imagine the black would wear off pretty quickly especally for someone like me who keeps his pickups unusually close to the strings. I willstick with silver rails for now.

That would be my option I wouldn't even open it up to check. I wouldn't try to diagnose the problem for them. I would just drive over tell them it doesn't work, and get an exchange.

For $3,000 I wouldn't be playing guessing games.

    NAD that ended in tragedy

3K I would not expect a fuse to blow in two weeks. I would send it back. My buddy had the same experience with a JCM 600 combo. He fixed the fuse, then it started blowing again when it got outside of warranty. Now the fuse blows every few sessions. He took it to the best tech in Boston, who...
