I have a WLH set in a box in the basement, unfortunately they are gold.

Got to do some 6 string stuff with the band tomorrow so I am getting in some quality time with my LP.

NGD: Sticking with what works for me

Whoever had this guitar before me had extra heavy strings on it. I play extra lights. My E-A-D were rattling in the nut. I just put in a new Graph Tech which is what this guitar comes with and the slight rattling and buzzing is gone. This guitar is a dream to play. Can't wait to take it for a...

    Pearly Gates parallel?

I have split a PGn and found ity to be the Strattiest split humbucker I have ever used. Very Nile Rodgers sounding. In humbucking mode I do not find it to be overly bright, I hate bright pickups, probably has more to do with how I dial in my amp.

The pros & cons of alder?

I do not think it is about the species of wood it is more about the grade. I have a mahogany guitar that is a very cheap grade of mahogany. I also have one with a beautiful poplar top.

    Guitar Stands

I have had luck with On Stage. I have an amp stand and a keyboard stand. I have never bought their guitar stands. I did get a pair of Musician's Gear stands that instantly broke.

The SDUGF Official Pics of Your Board Thread

I could rock that board and get through our set. I might like a bit more gain, but that is my taste, not Steve's.

New Behringer BM-18M Cluster Box Modulation Pedal

The same here. I bought my MOOG 108 years ago because my MXR 4-knob had a volume drop that drove me crazy and the MOOG has a variable output. Once I got the H9 it pretty much went into mothballs due to its size and inability to switch sounds on the fly. However, if someone is a bedroom or...

New Behringer BM-18M Cluster Box Modulation Pedal

For $179 it is well worth the money but it has the same drawbacks the original has. The form factor is huge and there is no ability to set presets. But it is an amazing sounding pedal.

NGD: Sticking with what works for me

This guitar is the gift that keeps on giving. It has huge oversized fret markers, great for my aging vision, but they are also Luminlay glowing frets. This guitar keeps surprising me.

Which humbucker for neck Strat to Fuzz /hi gain?

I would also agree with Hot Rails. I have one in my Tele and gravitate towards that style myself.

NGD: Sticking with what works for me

This is my first time playing them and I love the tone. Yes a bit different than the BW, but good different. I would be happy with either set in this guitar.

Which humbucker for neck Strat to Fuzz /hi gain?

When you say high gain fuzz what are you looking for? A Matt Pike type of tone?

NGD: Sticking with what works for me

Well, my guitars are all over the place from ES, Tele, and tons of oddballs in between. These Shecters are perfect for this metal gig and are the first guitars in a long time. I can't think of a single thing that should/could be done to them. The LTD I just bought already has a pickup swap, and...
