Pickup upgrade for Epiphone Les Paul (hard rock/metal)

Agreed. The BW also responds very well to the VOL knob; rolling it back gives you a more classic vibe.

    NPD: Maestro FZ-M

Good to know I use BWs and Dimebuckers and had the same problem with my Hiwatt fuzz. I will futz around with some other pickups tomorrow.

    NPD: Maestro FZ-M

I just got the Fuzz for $50 I am not impressed. The tone is okay but the level doesn't seem to get above unity and I want at least a little vol boost when stepping on a dirt stomp. I am still deciding if I am going to return it.

    Tube Testers

I go to the old school TV/Stereo repair shop the next town over the old timer lets me use his for free. It took him 5 minutes to school me on how to use it.

No Sound on 1st string on Hot Rodded set

Sorry to derail but that guitar is freaking gorgeous.

    Our EP is Here !

Love how the first song has that low distant guitar, then it kicks in. The solos are tasty, and the vocals are killer.

Looking for a hot rails plastic casing

Did not know that. If anyone knows how to get it off it is the CS. Or maybe it is a repair job he will have to ship.

    Your Favorite Chorus Pedal

I can use it for some very early classic rock or hipster rock like Jack White or Black Keys. The stuff it works with is cool, but that is a very narrow scope of music.

    Your Favorite Chorus Pedal

Yep, it is the CE-1 circuit, which surprises me. They nailed the chorus and swung and missed on the distortion. They could have put the DS1 or Super Overdrive in the amp, but went with a strange distortion circuit. By design, the amp has no warmth; the "distortion" is to bring the warmth back...

    15" Speaker Needed

When you push, which is what you want to get cleans at lower volumes or as you roll back your vol on the guitar. However, it should scream with a boost or the amp is dimed.

Gibson's Biggest Problem Isn't The Price

So do the FAANG companies but I use or buy all their products.

    Fattening Guitar tone

The bass player robs a lot of our low frequencies stealing the guitar's punch.

    15" Speaker Needed

If you are looking for early break up I would try to find a 15" Fender Special Design which came in their Excelsior amp, great early speaker break up. Eminence make the speaker so they are pretty good. You might be able to find one used for short money. These speakers are from the 2000s, there...

Who cuts strings when changing them?

I think he means cutting off when changing them but I do both.
