My recent purchase of a white LP custom.....
neck looked decent when I got it, action was hi and I planned on doing a total setup on it.
Tonite I took off the truss rod cover and found exhibit A: one of the 3 screws was missing its mounting hole, a small peice of the wood is gone... the truss...
Ive come across what I beleive is a 1991 Fender american strat. Serial number N1013610...Its not mint, has a few small dings, scratches...fretboard (maple) has dark "fretting marks" here and there. Frets are real nice, needs some adjustments to neck and bridge...looks like aftermarket saddles...
Anyone in the twin cities looking for one of these? Its real clean. I dont want to ship this thing. Im looking for 1200 or best and Im always open to trades. Tell me what you got.

this guy has a killer idea! He works in a music store across the street from me and has designed, built and patented these things, I say its killer and cant beleive it hasnt been done before.
Im going to learn how...if anyone has any pointers, Im all ears. My Epi custom has the ugliest grey inlays I ever saw, other than that I love it. Im going to buy the inlays and do it.
I have become real good at repair of my guitars, but one thing still bugs me. FRET or STRING BUZZ. Im talking about when you even play open strings and the ring for a second and the BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Im guessing this shouldnt be happening but most guitars I have had this to some degree...
I know they use a 10 or 20k ??? and I think its audio taper, but im not sure. What do you guys use, if originals arent available? I have a set of shorts, but they wont work in my les paul studio. Peace
My Epi custom came with some 59s, I scored a JB the other day and decided to try it. Very nice, All the talk I heard about "midrangey" I thought Id hate it, buts its great and its staying for now. Totally different guitar now. Very responsive/
I found a super clean good looking Ibanez GAX70 (looks like a LP double cut) today for 129 It seemed so clean and nice that I couldnt pass it up...Plus it had a like new Hard Shell case (that also fits a les paul) So I figured I could make a few bucks on it right, well I got it home and plugged...
It looks like a newer model Beretta, but headstock is not reversed...its a set neck...24 frets floyd rose 2 hums, 1 vol 1 tone and a 3 way toggle. Im completely lost, cant find one on ebay or even at the Musicyo site....The closest I have found is the Beretta...
